May GO Team at Gem Village

This month we welcomed a mission team (which we lovingly call a “GO team”) to Gem Village. Having a team here is always an exciting time for the Gems and staff. The team served lovingly and sacrificially, and we thank them for obeying the call and stepping out in faith to come to Uganda.

Some team members found themselves physically and emotionally challenged as they worked outside their comfort zones to lead trainings, organize a Gem outing and staff party, lead worship time at Sunday school, sort donations, long days, scheduling challenges, and all the unknowns that come with life in Africa.

However, there was much fun and joy had by all. The staff and Gems were sorry to see them leave and the team had a hard time saying good-bye. There may have been some tears. Thank you, May GO team for loving us so well!
