12 Years of Gem

On July 10th, we marked twelve incredible years of God's faithfulness, provision, and unwavering love. As we reflect on this journey, one verse continually comes to mind: "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'" ~Matthew 19:26

From our humble beginnings to building an incredible team of dedicated staff, every step of this journey has been marked by God's faithfulness. He provided a rented home in Kampala, even one with a palm tree after we had specifically prayed for one! He granted us favor with government officials as we received our children's home license, and He blessed us with the joy of welcoming our very first eleven precious Gems into our family. Every milestone, every answered prayer, and every cherished memory stands as a testimony to God's unwavering goodness and faithfulness.

Today, we stand on 92 beautiful acres at Gem Village, a place filled with peace, fresh air, laughter, healing, and hope. As we celebrate twelve years, we also look ahead with great anticipation. There is still so much to come, and we step into Year 13 with renewed excitement, greater faith, and bold expectation for all God has planned!
